A beautiful pair of matching Chinese Huanghuali armchairs of grand proportions.

The chairs have an exquisitely carved crest rail supported by a curving center splat with live edges. The elegantly curved rear posts continue to form the rear legs. Also curved are the arm rails supported on tapering, sculptural vertical stiles. The rectangular seat frame encloses a mat seat above shaped aprons and spandrels. The legs are are joined by stepped stretchers and the foot rest sits above a plain apron.
